The Office of Research and Grants Administration (ORGA) at the College of Charleston promotes externally funded research, training, and demonstration projects. ORGA is a central source of information on major government agencies, foundations, and corporations which support research and scholarship. Below are suggested resources for locating funding opportunities.

Subscription Database Services Are Available For Campus Users:

Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN) is the most widely used funding opportunity database in the world. Across the globe nearly 500 institutions subscribe to the Web-based search engine. Researchers at these institutions use InfoEd's SPIN as their one-stop-shop for identifying the latest grant programs. By aggregating sponsor information in one system, SPIN dramatically cuts search times and substantially increases the likelihood of positive results. Program information is presented in a standard format that allows investigators to readily compare opportunities. Users may also participate in SMARTS funding alerts to be notified of grant opportunities in selected areas. This is accomplished by creating a profile using the SMARTS/GENIUS profile and alert system.
These resources are made avaialble by a campus-wide subscription. You must be using a computer on the College's network to access these sites.
